San Antonio Public Library seeks opinions

Invitation to your constituents to participate in focus group:
The San Antonio Public Library wants your opinion!
As part of its strategic planning process, the Library is conducting a Community Needs Assessment to help determine the course the library should take for the next several years – what new services should be offered, how to improve existing services and resources, where new libraries are needed – anything and everything about the Library is under discussion.
Whether you use the Library a lot, a little, or not at all, Library staff need to hear from you. If you use the Library a lot, how can your Library experience be even better? If you use the Library a little, what would help you to take advantage of its resources and services more often? And if you don’t use the Library at all, they would appreciate it if you would take some time to tell them why not.
The Library invites you to participate in a focus group to obtain the opinions of District 5 residents. Please join them at the Las Palmas Branch Library, 515 Castroville Road, on Wednesday, November 4, 2009, from 6:00 p.m. to 7:15 p.m. to share your point of view. Refreshments will be provided.
For more information, please call Beth Graham at (210) 207-2638, Roberta Sparks at (210) 207-2635, or Jessica Ramos at (210) 207-2632.
Don’t forget – your input is essential in helping to develop the San Antonio Public Library’s plan for the future!
Thank you!

The former HEB site on Presa Avenue will soon be home to the District 5 One-Stop Senior Center. A Dollar General will also be moving into the building and will have a section of groceries. District 5 Councilman David Medina and District 3 Councilwoman Jennifer Ramos hope to build on this investment in our community to further develop the area and bring in other businesses that will serve all residents in the surrounding neighborhoods. Members of the Roosevelt Park Neighborhood Association addresssed City Council to convince them of the need for this facility in our area.
